| FIRST Robotics Competition |

On March 30 and 31, over 10,000 spectators gathered at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, to watch 40 teams of high school students compete at the Long Island Regional robotics competition.
FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is a nation-wide program with the idea of inspiring young people about the fun and importance of science and engineering as a career field.
